Nominasi Grammy Awards 2010

Ajang penghargaan musik paling bergengsi di Amerika, Grammy Awards 2010, sudah mengumumkan nominasi-nominasinya. Penghargaan tahun 2010 nanti akan digelar di Staples Center, Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat, pada tanggal 31 Januari 2010.

Kayaknya dari sisi rock kurang terwakili nih ya, di Record Of The Year cuma ada Kings Of Leon, sedangkan di Album Of The Year malah ngga ada sama sekali. Punggawa-punggawa rock lagi pada libur? Padahal ada beberapa album tangguh di kategori Best Rock Album kayak "21st Century Breakdown"-nya Green Day atau "No Line On The Horizon"-nya U2.

Nama yang bersinar taun ini sepertinya bakal lagi-lagi Taylor Swift, penyanyi pop-country muda yang sudah menyabet banyak penghargaan di MTV Music Awards maupun American Music Awards. Selain itu Black Eyed Peas juga terus memegang dominasi musik hip-hop/RnB. Nama baru yang berhasil langsung masuk banyak nominasi adalah Lady Gaga. Cewek nyentrik bernama asli Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta ini nongol di tiga kategori terbesar, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, dan Album of the Year.

Grammy Awards telah digelar sejak tahun 1958, berarti yang 2010 nanti terhitung sudah penghargaan ke 52 kalinya. Nama "Grammy" sendiri diambil dari bentuk pialanya yang berupa gramophone (pemutar piringan hitam jadul).
